Episode 15
John Barry learned sailing from an early age in Ireland, and came to Philadelphia when he was 15. He became a successful captain at a young age, and when the Revolutionary War broke out he devoted his abilities to the cause of Independence. He was made the first officer of the new U.S. Navy and is considered the Father of the U.S. Navy.
