Carl Schmitt was a painter and philosopher of the early 20th century, and doesn’t get his due for the greatness of his art and his thought. His Catholic faith inspired everything he did, and he considered that our ability to create beauty was our participation in the beauty of God, and thus should be used for good and beautiful purposes.
